Ron Costella possesses over 35 years of experience leading and managing large, complex organizations in the defense contracting industry, the United States Army and Joint commands. His responsibilities have included profit and loss management, systemic growth, mergers and acquisition integration, corporate strategic planning, reorganization and change management and customer satisfaction initiatives. Military responsibilities included training proficiency and well-being of soldiers in world-wide locations at battalion, brigade, Department of the Army and Joint levels with command through battalion level.
Ron currently is the Senior Vice President Enterprise Information Technology Sector for the Management Services Group of AECOM. In this role, he is the senior executive responsible for profit and loss, growth and innovative solution delivery for professional IT services for DoD and federal civilian customers. He also is a Director on the AESY Joint Venture, an SBA Approved Mentor Protégé Joint Venture and a Director of Forfeiture Support Associates (FSA).
His professional experience includes over nine years with AMERICAN SYSTEMS Corporation where he served as Vice President, Executive Director, Training and Operational Services Segment. He was the senior executive responsible for the profit and loss of the training and operations segment with focus on partnering with government organizations to provide best value training and education solutions to meet customer requirements. Previously, he served as Vice President, Executive Director, Human Capital Services and Managed Services Divisions where he was the senior executive focusing on staff augmentation and managed service solutions. Additional assignments included Vice President, General Manager, Business Plus Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of American Systems Corporation and Strategic Business Development Executive. Focus included Joint Programs, including OSD-directed Training Transformation initiatives; Army training, and IT engineering initiatives.
Ron also served as the Vice President Enterprise Support Services for Capstone Corporation where he was the senior executive responsible for operations of a 210 person, $36M business unit focusing on IT, systems engineering and technical solutions.
His 20 year Army career included assignments as the Director, Capabilities Development, US Joint Forces Command, Training Directorate where he was responsible for designing, resourcing, and leading a team of military and civilians charged with transforming and improving joint training capabilities for Office of the Secretary of Defense level initiatives under the OSD Training Transformation mission. Commander, Special Troops Battalion, Ft. Richardson, Alaska where he led, trained, maintained, and improved performance of 600+-person, multi-disciplined organization responsible for worldwide engineering construction, maintenance and supply activities for Army forces in Alaska. Army Personnel Command Field Artillery Lieutenant Colonel’s Assignment Officer where he was responsible for career counseling, performance assessment, personnel policy implementation and placement of over 800 senior officers.
Ron is a graduate of the United States Army Command and General Staff College, Cornell University and The United States Military Academy.
